{"id":638,"date":"2026-06-24T08:48:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T08:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trendedu.eu\/?p=638"},"modified":"2026-06-24T08:48:32","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T08:48:32","slug":"trend-partners-ran-a-workshop-on-immersive-learning-for-sustainable-education-at-the-media-learning-2026-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trendedu.eu\/?p=638","title":{"rendered":"TREnD workshop on immersive learning for sustainable education at the Media &amp; Learning 2026 Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday 17 June, our project partners led a workshop at the <strong>Media &amp; Learning 2026: Co-creating the Future of Learning Conference<\/strong>, exploring how immersive learning strategies can strengthen Education for Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session used the <strong>TREnD (Teaching Resilience and Environmental Democracy)<\/strong> project as a case study and was led by <strong>Dario Fazzi<\/strong> (Leiden University) and <strong>Gaetano Di Tommaso<\/strong> (Roosevelt Institute for American Studies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants looked at how approaches such as virtual exchange, critical mapping, and immersive technologies can deepen learning and build intercultural understanding. The discussion also got into the practical side: how do these methods fit into existing curricula, how can they be assessed fairly, and what does inclusive and ethical implementation look like?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop reflected broader questions the TREnD project is working through &#8211; how education can equip learners with the resilience, digital skills, and environmental awareness needed to navigate today&#8217;s socio-ecological challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday 17 June, our project partners led a workshop at the Media &amp; Learning 2026: Co-creating the Future of Learning Conference, exploring how immersive learning strategies can strengthen Education for Sustainable Development.
